If you look you'll see several ACORNs that are incorporated in New Orleans, including ARKANSAS ACORN HOUSING CORPORATION, ACORN TENANT UNION TRAINING AND ORGANZING PROJECT INC, ACORN TELEVISION IN ACTION FOR COMMUNITIES INC, ACORN LAW FOR EDUCATION REPRESENTATION & TRAINING, ACORN INSTITUTE INC, ACORN INTERNATIONAL INC, ACORN HOUSING CORPORATION OF PENNSYLVANIA INC, ACORN COMMUNITY LAND ASSOCIATION, ACORN COMMUNITY LAND ASSOCIATION OF ILLINOIS, ACORN COMMUNITY LAND ASSOCIATION OF LA, and ACORN COMMUNITY LAND ASSOCIATION OF PENNSYLVANIA INC. The majority of these are incorporated at 2609 Canal Street. This is 2609 Canal Street to the left. It is for sale since the recent shakeups in ACORN, as a result of ACORN getting caught in numerous illegal activities.

Quick question for those who want to follow the logic. Why would the owner of the building sell it if ACORN got in legal trouble? Wouldn't they just get new tenants? Why would the owner sell if it was losing a tenant that is going broke? It wouldn't, unless the owner was the tenant in question.

Also note ACORN and LOCAL 100 SEIU appear in plain sight, in the same type of signage, on the second floor balcony. That doesn't happen unless they both put their signage up at the same time. Further chasing down ACORN starts to reveal its confusing maze of twisty little corporations, all supposed to do about the same thing (community organizing, which is Marxist agitation) but some that are considered to be tax-deductible and others that are not, some that are eligible for federal contributions and others that are not, but with a single reporting structure that mingles the money from all the parts together in a manifestly illegal manner.

I count 28 non-profit corporations at the 2609 Canal St. address according to my manual search through the Melissa database. That is a lot of non-profit corporations, all of them in the same plantation style townhouse. And remember, these are only the non-profit corporations. Elysian Fields Partnership is the paymaster of all the ACORN and SEIU associated corporations, is at 2609 Canal St. and it isn't listed in Melissa.

The point is that there are a ton of these non-profit corporations. What is important about non-profit corporations? While deductible non-profit corporations are subject to extensive SEC scrutiny, non-deductible, non-charitable non-profit corporations do not have to file anything other than a tax return. If a concern consists of both charitable and non-charitable non-profits all mixed together, with common leadership and without strict firewalls to prevent the mixing of different colors of money, then what you end up with is a money laundering operation.

This is very similar to what Enron did. And what Enron did was illegal enough that the architects of its corporate structure went to jail for their trouble.

KTK claims that these interlocking corporations with obscured leadership and without strict firewalls between the different firms in the pile are typical of all business concerns in the US.

Apparently Huston doesn’t know, or doesn’t care, that large organizations routinely create separate legal sub-divisions to carry out particular activities. Even the most basic profile of any large company will include an organization chart of its wholly- and partially-owned subsidiaries, joint ventures, and other legal affiliates. It’s standard practice for both profit-making and non-profit entities, simply because it’s easier, and makes the accounting clearer, to have distinct legal entities for distinct operating divisions.

This confuses the difference between divisions of a corporation and separate corporations. It's easy enough to break up a balance sheet or a cash flow statement by the different divisions. But when you have different corporations glommed together in some sort of overarching structure, each separate corporation needs to have a completely separate balance sheet, income and cash flow statements. The problem with the ACORN frankenstein monster is that it takes government money so it has higher standards it has to meet. But it doesn't as a whole. Some pieces seem to meet the higher standards, but evidence keeps on showing up that proves government money is being spent for illegal things, for instance to get out the vote for one political party, or to suppress voting by the other political party. This money is getting laundered through the other corporations, funneled from one to another, then passed to a third, then kicked back to a fourth, then transferred to a fifth, then finally spent on behalf of a sixth.

Imagine if the political party you oppose were doing this, and you will see the problem.

Finally KTK shoots its load with an insane claim about Kellogg.

I presume Huston is feverishly beavering away right at this moment, just about to blow the lid off the Kellog’s corporation  (secretly the unknown owners of Keebler Cookies, Eggo Waffles, Famous Amos, and a whole bunch of other stuff, including a shitload of entities very sneakily incorporating the word “Kellogg” in their names, all of them hidden on a little-known publicly-accessible document called an “Annual Report”, filed with the SEC and available from the company’s own Web site).

Trouble is I went and checked Kellogg's Annual Report. There is only one corporation to handle Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, Keebler Elves, Famous Amos and the rest of the product lines. Check it out for yourself.

The bottom line is that when you have a big mess of interlocking corporations with interlocking directors (an illegal practice, by the way) it is a sign that you are looking at a criminal concern. This kind of structure is made to launder money. And when we are talking about an organization that takes money from the government to register voters only from one political party, that makes partisan political endorsements, and that runs get out the vote operations for that same preferred political party, then what you're talking about is money taken from the taxpayers in order to promote a single political party and crush any opposition.

And that isn't freedom. That is fascism, baby.

KTK doesn't care though. KTK likes fascism as long as Democrats do it. Because he, she, or it is a teabagging, salad-tossing, progressive douchebag just like Karl Marx, Joe Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, Che Guevara and Pol Pot, mass murderers all. So he, she, or it lies. Because the truth about his, hers, or its beliefs is intolerable when the truth is so inhumanly horrible.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the over-promising and underperforming Democratic Party, Philadelphia is failing.

Democratic politicians and policies are not solely responsible for our decline, but they've been in the driver's seat for a tortoise's lifetime and have driven the car into a ditch. If Democrats aren't responsible, who is - Apaches?

Support the Gormogons GIVASHIT Act of 2009 to shine a light on QUANGOs

A QUANGO is a quasi-autonomous non-governmental-organization. It is a fascist combination of government and private non-profit that does the dirty work of government insiders without being exposed to public oversight. They are pretty awful, no matter what their supposed portfolio.

Ghettoputer has a really good idea for an amendment to get added onto a bill the next time some progressive douchebag QUANGO like ACORN or SEIU or or Fannie Mae or the new GM or the fricking FED gets exposed to sunlight and makes everyone throw up in their mouth a little. Sure, ACORN got a wedgie this week, but they had already changed their name to COI. Does the ban apply to the new name of the stinkpit? What about other QUANGOs?

insist Democrats support 'Puter's Government Investment Verification and Accountability, Sustainability, Healthcare, Information and Transparency Act of 2009 ("GIVASHIT").

GIVASHIT requires any entity (public, private or charitable) that receives more than a set percentage of its operating budget ('Puter would say 10%, but Republicans should settle for 50%) from any government entity (federal, state or local) (1) be subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act and (2) submit audited financial statements annually, available for public inspection. Affiliates of any covered entity would also be subject to GIVASHIT's provisions. The only exceptions to covered entities would be based upon national security considerations.

GIVASHIT will prevent waste, fraud and abuse of government funds by making each American a private attorney general, with authority to investigate publicly funded entities on his own through judicious use of FOIA. And if covered entities don't like the accoutnability, they can opt out from coverage by refusing to accept government funds. It's a win-win.

Why don't Michigan Unions want to be put on the state run health insurance program?

Isn't this what their political party wants to do to the rest of the country? Everyone except for union workers and some federal government workers are going to get forced into the public option. If anyone is going to get forced into public insurance plans, it should be the goddamn unions who put these douchebags in office.

Here's one from our friendly neighborhood democrats in Michigan.

The Speaker of the House in Michigan (a Democrat) introduced a plan to require all public employees be put under one state run health insurance program.

Basically, another "screw the working class" proposal.

Needless to say, all of us employees who have had our wages slashed due to lack of raises over the last fifteen years are not too happy.

In that time we have had 12 raises that amounted to less than 1.2%! That means, we have really taken a pay cut. Six of those year we got zero% raise in order to keep our health insurance. Despite that, we have also taken concessions on health insurance two of the last four years to help keep our districts afloat! We opened our contracts to do that - the ultimate in good faith.

Now, this bluedog introduces this rightwing fantasy legislation that would destroy a major portion of what is left of Michigan's middle class. They have already crushed the U.A.W., and now, a DEMOCRAT introduces legislation that would basically destroy collective bargaining rights for workers, and crush the last vestige of worker opposition to the corporate fascists!

I called this little bastards office a few weeks ago, and got a very young kid who laughed at me when I asked if the Speaker really was from the party of FDR? He said laughing, "that was 50 years ago." He was totally ignorant, and the biggest dipshit I have talked to since I called Max Baucus' office a couple of years ago. Maybe it was the same guy?

So I moved on to the Speaker Pro Tem and talked to a very intelligent guy who completely understood everything at stake. His mother was a teacher, and he felt that the Speakers legislation would have to be supportive of workers and unions rights. He also was apalled when I told him of the bluedog jackass I talked to in the Speakers office and wanted his name.

In 2006, the repukes controlled our State House of representatives 58 - 52. After last year, the democrats hold a 67 - 43 majority thanks to the hundreds of thousands of public employees who campaigned and supported them.

And this is what we got in return; a big fat knife in the back!

Well, this blogger has finally had enough! I am going to start a petition demanding his resignation as Speaker, or that the House democrats strip him of his Speakership role. If they don't, they can try to win re-election next year without the 500,000 public employees, their spouses and family members support!

Axelrod being paid million$ from Big Pharma lobbyists through AKPD

If this is true... David Axelrod, who is one of the douche-masters behind Obama's masterful teleprompter reading, and who managed Obama's successful Presidential campaign, was the founder, president, and sole-shareholder of AKPD until he sold out after November 4. The firm owes Axelrod $2 million. I know that isn't big money in the circles the Obama$ roll in, what with Soros and Auchi and all the rest of the fatcat$ and $windler$ who bought all those copies of his books for access (you don't think ordinary people put his book on the bestseller list before 2006 do you?). But $2 million is pretty decent pocket money for Axelrod, and little company AKPD didn't have that much cash sitting around. Single owner companies usually don't, since they get stripped of all cash by their short-sighted owners. But the point is that AKPD is going to make that $2 million from big pharma companies who are spending big on astroturf and commercials to push the healthcare highjack bill down the throats of Americans who are opening their mouths not to swallow it, but to protest it. Axelrod is making money because companies want to influence the debate over a bill that Axelrod is pushing that could put them out of business. This is not only a conflict of interest; I think it's fricking extortion and bribery!

Corruption, villainy, and payola, that's what it's all about in Chicago. After all, that's the Chicago Way!
